Hotel group De Vere has appointed Laurie Nicol and Alan Corlett as co-chief executive officers.
Nicol, who was formerly chief operating officer, and Corlett, who was previously chief commercial officer, have each been with the business for more than a decade.
In their new roles Nicol will drive ESG, food and beverage and people and culture strategy, while Corlett will focus on growing revenue through various marketing, sales and IT platforms.
De Vere's current chief executive James Burrell will take on a new role as executive chairman of the hotel group, where he will support both De Vere and its shareholder Starwood Capital.
Burrell joined Principal Hotel Company as chief financial officer in 2014 and replaced Tony Troy as chief executive of De Vere in January 2022.
"This is a well-deserved internal succession appointment for Laurie and Alan, recognising their significant contributions to the success of De Vere and Principal Hotel Company across many years of service," said Burrell.
“We are confident that under their leadership, De Vere will continue to flourish and based on our current trading, we are optimistic about business momentum in 2024.”
De Vere is a collection of mansion house estates, hotels and events facilities located in and around London, the southeast and the Cotswolds.
