Restaurant group D&D London is to open its first businesses in the UK, outside of the capital, with the launch of two restaurants and bars in Leeds.
Crafthouse and Angelica will occupy the fifth and sixth floors of the new Trinity Leeds - a luxury shopping and lifestyle development which is set to open in spring 2013, across a series of arcades traversing three of the city's busiest shopping streets - Briggate, Albion and Commercial.
Crafthouse on the fifth floor will showcase the best British produce, taking inspiration from the history of Leeds and Yorkshire. The 144-cover space will offer views across the city, and pay homage to the city's rich culture and heritage.
Meanwhile, Angelica will enjoy a become a wrap-around terrace and panoramic city views from the sixth floor. A cocktail bar offering new drinks brands and cocktails from a team of skilled mixologists will form a central feature, with an international menu being served from breakfast to late at night.
The restaurants, with interiors designed by Conran & Partners, will launch on 21 March. Further details on menus and design to follow.
This year will also international expansion for D&D London with the opening of a restaurant in Istanbul.
