Dale Dewsbury is to return to Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, Scotland's only two-Michelin-starred restaurant, as manager.
Dewsbury, who previously spent 10 years working with Fairlie both at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow and at Gleneagles in Perthshire, will replace Ben Dantzic, a 2012 Acorn winner, who will be leaving the restaurant at the end of the year.
Dewsbury had left Restaurant Andrew Fairlie in January 2011 to take some time out of the industry after 25 years.
Commenting on his return to the restaurant, Dewsbury said: "I'm truly excited at the prospect of returning to manage Restaurant Andrew Fairlie. I had a fantastic 10 years there as manager, growing the restaurant from pre-opening to the promotion to two Michelin stars.
"I have a huge emotional and professional attachment to the restaurant, and am delighted to come back enthused and energised, and looking forward to working with Andrew and the team again - it's a very special place."
Chef patron Andrew Fairlie added: "We are all delighted to see Dale back where he belongs. He is returning at a very interesting time for us as the restaurant continues to develop in a number of exciting ways. I am sure there is at least another 10 years of great work to be done together. "
Restaurant Andrew Fairlie has held two Michelin stars for seven years, with Fairlie being one of just eight Relais & Chateaux Grand Chefs in the UK. It was last week named the top restaurant in the UK by the Sunday Times.
