This is a unique opportunity to establish a vibrant, viable business on one of the UK's most popular coastlines.
North Norfolk District Council is seeking expressions of interest from visionary entrepreneurs seeking to establish a year-round profitable business in a prominent beachside location on the increasingly popular North Norfolk coast.
The Cromer site offered for development on the West Promenade provides a unique opportunity to develop a strong business base; the area benefits from more than eight million trips to the area, 7.4 million day trips and more than half a million overnight visits.
Supported by ongoing capital investment in the West Promenade and the popular pier show, situated a short distance away, this is a unique opportunity to establish a year-round destination for visitors, holidaymakers and residents. Currently the two-storey art deco building houses 17 beach chalets, a balcony with breathtaking sea views and an area on the ground floor suitable for a variety of uses including retail/food provision. The council is open to proposals seeking part or whole use of the building.
At this stage the council is open to negotiation regarding the type and extent of proposals, including the investment and leasing arrangements. Applicants who are successful in stage one of the applications will be invited to partake in further discussions and negotiations during December/January.
It will be essential for any future partner to share the council's core values of creativity, quality and commitment to the local community and economy.
Further information and an application form are available on request. Please contact Maxine Collis via email: maxine.collis@north-norfolk.gov.uk or telephone: 01263 516 256.
We are requesting that expressions of interest are submitted using the application form by 1pm on Monday 31 October 2016.
