He said it was the “right moment” to embrace new opportunities
Chris Wayne-Wills has stepped down as chief executive of Crerar Hotels after more than five years in the role.
In an announcement on LinkedIn, the seasoned hotelier said: “After more than five years, my time as CEO of Crerar Hotels has come to an end. To every member of the Crerar team, thank you.
“Now feels like the right moment to embrace new opportunities personally and professionally. I’ll be taking some time with family, reconnecting with friends, and, as ever asking my favourite three-word question: What happens next?”
Wayne-Wills joined the Scottish hotel company in 2020 following a position as cluster general manager, Scotland and the north at Marriott International.
Prior to that, he was regional managing director of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts for 11 years and regional general manager, Scotland and the north, for QHotels.
In 2022, he was appointed chairman of trade body UKHospitality Scotland, taking over from Calum Ross, owner of Loch Melfort hotel in Argyll.
Crerar Hotels operates 10 luxury hotels across Scotland, including Glencoe Inn, Oban Bay hotel, Thainstone House and the Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa.
