The first permanent Burger Theory restaurant is set to open on St Stephen's Street in Bristol next week.
The burger brand launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund its first 110-cover site, with a target of £5,500, and last week managed to hit £6,058 with 147 supporters in 21 days.
Burger Theory was founded by chef Rory Perriment in 2012 and friend Oliver Thorogood, and started as a street food stall trading at music festivals. Since 2016 it has run pop-up restaurants at Kongs Bar and the Golden Lion in Bristol, and at Kongs Cardiff.
The restaurant will serve a range of burgers, as well as craft beers, cocktails, fresh juices, fries and cheesecakes. It will also hold events throughout the year such as a Bottomless Burger Club and craft beer paired taster menus.
The brand also focuses on sustainability, using compostable packaging, offering a range of vegetarian and vegan burgers, and using local produce from south-west suppliers. The restaurant will also serve craft beer from local brewer Moor Beer.
