Big Mamma Group has confirmed it will be opening its “most luxurious restaurant to date” in London’s High Street Kensington in January.
Jacuzzi, described as a four-storey “pleasure palace”, will be the group’s fourth restaurant in London following the launch of Gloria, Circolo Popolare and Ave Mario, and its first in West London.
The 170-cover, 4,000 sq ft restaurant will have a botanical Sicilian mezzanine on the third floor with a retractable roof.
Like its sister sites, the venue will source produce from Italian suppliers. Starters will include Culatello di Zibello ham from Onesto Ghiradi served with gnocchi fritti and burrata with fresh seasonal truffle; and pizetta topped with Italian Transmontanus caviar by Kaviari from the Venice region.
Mains will include lobster risotto with half lobster, clams, red gurnard and cuttlefish; and a truffle pasta for two with fresh black truffle, truffle cream and parmigiano foam, in a 4kg wheel of pecorino.
The dessert menu will include a chocolate fondue for two with Grand Cru Valrhona dark chocolate and homemade churros.
As well as a gigantic lemon tree spreading across the stucco ceiling, the venue will have a plush green ‘boudoir’ with murals, and the basement vault of the former 19th century bank has been turned into a “disco toilet”.
