Annie Brown has been appointed general manager of the Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery.
Brown has almost 20 years’ industry experience, having worked in hotels across Australia, Manchester, London, the Midlands and Scotland.
She was most recently at Hampton by Hilton Manchester Northern Quarter, where she was also the first chair of Manchester’s Accommodation Business Improvement District (BID), which is being funded by a £1 city visitor charge that was introduced in April this year.
Liverpool was the first city in the UK to launch a multi-million-pound BID for its hotel and serviced apartment sector in November 2022.
Brown said: “I am thrilled to be joining The Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery team and I’m looking forward to being at the helm of such a historical property and bring my hospitality expertise to the role.”
The Municipal Liverpool hotel opened in May this year and is part of MGallery, which sits under Accor’s luxury boutique hotel brand.
The property is managed by RBH Hospitality Management and features 179 bedrooms.
