Adam Simmonds has left Adam Handling Chelsea a week after the opening of the restaurant in the Belmond Cadogan hotel in London.
Simmonds, who was named Chef of the Year (fewer than 250 covers) at the 2011 Hotel Cateys while at Danesfield House in Marlow, had been announced as executive head chef in October 2018.
He was to work under chef patron Adam Handling at the Cadogan hotel, which has reopened after a £28m overhaul.
The restaurant is the latest opening in chef Adam Handling's group, and sits alongside the Frog Hoxton and Frog by Adam Handling in Covent Garden.
The Caterer understands that a replacement head chef is not being sought.
Simmonds also oversees Alpha Club, a private members club that opened in Milton Keynes in May 2018, as executive chef.
