13 people were injured after a floor collapsed at Two More Years pub in London’s Hackney Wick over the weekend.
The pub’s mezzanine floor collapsed just before 5pm on Saturday (12 February) and was declared a major incident, with both ambulance and fire services in attendance. Three people had potentially serious injuries and 10 had more minor injuries, with four people taken to hospital.
Around 50 people left the building before the fire brigade arrived, while seven had to be rescued after being trapped on the remaining part of the mezzanine floor.
Posting on Instagram, the pub said no one had sustained any critical injuries and the venue would “remain closed for now” with all bookings and reservations cancelled.
