Age 28

Position Social media manager, Rosewood London

Nominator Bana Toukan, director of sales and marketing, Rosewood London

In 2023, Bella Davis’s digital talent and ambition propelled her to a pivotal role overseeing social media, content creation and strategy at the five-star, 308-bedroom Rosewood London and its restaurants: Scarfes Bar, Holborn Dining Room and the Mirror Room.

Since stepping into the role from that of communications executive, which she had held since 2021, she has proven her leadership credential by engaging, motivating and challenging the status quo throughout the business. She has brought the whole social media function in-house, managing seven social media accounts, their content creation, strategy, copywriting and reporting, which has not only saved over £40,000 in agency fees but also increased the Rosewood community by more than 15% for each account year-on-year (131% of the target), achieving more than 1,642,782 video views and an average engagement rate of 3.3%.

Davis has also gone above and beyond in the past 12 months to help her international colleagues by building a relationship with overseas communications and marketing teams. She has been tasked with helping Rosewood Vienna on content production shoots and most recently been part of a three-month taskforce with Rosewood Hong Kong. Working on the Rosewood Front Row campaign, she curated a programme of masterclasses and culinary and beverage collaborations that will be rolled out across the portfolio later in the year.

Davis also works with the Girls Network to empower young women from lesser advantaged communities by connecting them to a mentor and network of professionals.

How do you get the best out of your team?

"For me, it’s about learning to mix it up. My team are encouraged to be creative, to collaborate and to connect. We like to try new things and sometimes it doesn’t always work out, but it’s the learning process and the fun we have while we do it that makes us continue to push the boundaries within our field. We learn as we go."

What excites you most about hospitality?

"Every day is different and that is what is so exciting. One day I am connecting with people, the next I am working alongside creatives. I have made so many lasting relationships with people who are innovating in the industry and every person has a part to play which is what makes the industry so accessible and welcoming."
