The Prince of Wales is a winter warming cocktail made for royalty
This cocktail was created by Ricardo Morillo, bar manager and head mixologist at Cliveden House in Taplow, Berkshire.
The Prince of Wales cocktail is served in Cliveden’s dining room, which was originally the drawing room of the house before the site was transformed into a luxury hotel.
Orange and cherry flavours combine to offer a right royal and wintry beverage, named after Frederick Lewis, Prince of Wales, who lived at Cliveden from 1737 until his death in 1751.
Take a Champagne flute and add 25ml Cointreau. Slowly pour in the 10ml Maraschino.
Add a small dash of Angostura bitters, depending on your preference. Top up with Champagne, Laurent Perrier Heritage, and finally garnish with a maraschino cherry.
