Levy Restaurants UK, Compass UK & Ireland's sports, arena and events catering arm, has been awarded a 10-year contract to be the official catering partner for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at its new £750m stadium.
Due to kick off in 2018 when the new stadium opens, industry insiders put the value of the contract at an estimated £50m.
The 61,000 capacity stadium, the largest club stadium in London, will provide year-round facilities for match day and non-match day events.
Levy Restaurants UK, which had already been providing the catering for Tottenham Hotspur having replaced Centerplate in summer 2016, has been engaged to design, develop and deliver "world class and innovative" hospitality and catering within the venue. It is also expected to provide a considerable amount of capital investment as part of the deal.
The caterer said it would capitalise on the stadium's pioneering use of technology, to ensure fans can benefit from seamless pay and pre-ordering applications, as well as working with local artisan producers and suppliers while developing relationships with named and emerging chefs for the retail and hospitality concepts.
The partnership will create 50 full-time senior positions and 1,400 match day jobs within the catering and hospitality areas.
Andy O'Sullivan, Tottenham Hotspur director of hospitality, said: "We have undergone an extensive tender process and Levy Restaurants UK has proven themselves the outstanding candidate. They share our vision of enhancing the fan offering throughout our new stadium and their knowledge and expertise will prove invaluable in helping us deliver a world-class experience for all our visitors."
Colin Bailey, managing director of Levy Restaurants UK, said: "Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and we are delighted to have been selected as its catering partner for this exciting new stadium project. The development plans and the significant investment in engaging fans from the outset really does set this build apart and sets a new standard for the sports and events community."
Earlier this month it emerged that Levy Restaurants UK has also won a five-year deal to cater for Aston Villa FC. The company also has clients in the sports sector including Twickenham, Wimbledon and Jockey Club Racecourses.
