Pabulum renews 12 contracts worth £14.7m

School caterer Pabulum has secured £14.7m worth of business with the renewal of 12 contracts.

The contracts include four five-year deals for a total of £8.4m and a further eight contracts between two and four years for a combined £6.3m.

Nelson Williams, managing director at Pabulum (pictured), said: “We’re delighted to be continuing to work with some truly great schools who share our values when it comes to food and the next generation’s health and wellbeing.”

He added: “As a company, we are at a stage where every contract we have is business we would not want to lose. We pride ourselves on the excellent partnerships we have with our schools. It is particularly pleasing to see how much business we have retained in the last six months. To me, it underpins our two key differentiators: a fresh food company without compromise and strong commercial partners.”

The caterer plans to make several investments at many of the schools, including the introduction of Airstream-style food cubes to serve from.

Other investments include a new college offering called Enjoy, which will feature branded food options and a dining experience to reflect the high street.

Pabulum operates within a 125-mile radius of its Fleet headquarters and uses 94% fresh food. It came 16th in the list of the top 20 fastest-growing foodservice operators in the UK for the 2015 Foodservice Growth report, compiled by AixPartners and EP.
