Critic Norman on the move

Matthew Norman, restaurant critic at the Sunday Telegraph, is switching to the sports desk as the newspaper axes its review column.

he newspaper is understood to be working on a major redesign for the autumn which could lead to a rethink on the magazine's food coverage.

Norman, restaurant critic at the paper for seven years, said he "felt fine" about the change.

"I already write a sports column for the Evening Standard and I'm hoping to be doing something on restaurants for someone else too," he said.

The Sunday Telegraph declined to comment.
