It comes after the launch of Wildhive Callow Hall in Derbyshire in September 2021.
The Wildhive Collection has acquired Eshott Hall in Northumberland from the Robert Parker Collection.
The 17th century manor house will continue to run as a going concern until late 2025, when it will be refurbished and transformed into the Wildhive hotel.
It comes after Robert and Gina Parker, owners of luxury boutique hotel group the Robert Parker Hotel Collection, announced their decision to retire and sell the four properties in the group in May 2023. Eshott hall was marketed at a guide price of £4,995,000.
The new property will mark the second hotel in the Wildhive Collection, following on from Wildhive Callow Hall in Derbyshire, which opened in September 2021 with 15 bedrooms and 11 woodland hives.
The nature-inspired brand launched in the summer of that year with aspirations for five individually named boutique properties.
The upcoming Wildhive is located between Alnwick and Morpeth, a region that was the recent recipient of the first Development Partnership pilot in England, which resulted in £2.25m in government funding.
Ed Burrows, co-founder of the Wildhive Collection, said: “We have spent a long time looking for our second site, wanting somewhere that fits our long-term vision for the Wildhive Collection and we’re really excited about the possibilities at Eshott Hall.
“There is already a strong team in place at the hotel that we look forward to nurturing, and we’re excited to work with the brilliant team at Visit North East England to bring more people to this fantastic part of the country.”
Co-founder Charles Randall added: “We are very excited to announce our second acquisition in the stunning county of Northumberland. This move aligns with our long-term strategy and company vision to provide out-of-the-ordinary guest experiences in destinations that celebrate heritage, culture, and natural beauty, and we’re looking forward to giving guests a warm Wildhive welcome.”
Burrows and Randall first met at Barnsdale Lodge in Oakham, Rutland, in their respective roles as managing director and finance director.
