Valor Hospitality oversees £16.4m investment in six Hilton properties

Hotel management company Valor Hospitality is overseeing a £16.4m investment in a property improvement programme across six Hilton properties.

The six hotels involved in the renovation programme include three Double Tree by Hilton hotels in Manchester Piccadilly, Leeds, and Chester, and three Hilton Garden Inn hotels in Birmingham, Glasgow, and Bristol.

In total, 1,331 rooms are to be renovated with works currently scheduled to be completed by September 2024.

Work is already underway in Manchester and Leeds, with the other four scheduled to start next month.

The management firm, which has a portfolio of 34 hotels in the UK, is working with hospitality interior design specialists ABDA Design to refurbish the rooms.

Brian McCarthy, president of Valor Hospitality UK & Europe, said: “We’ve worked closely with the team at Hilton and ABDA Design to modernise the rooms; a homely feel was created by using soft colours and warm lighting. There was a change from tradition by removing more formal desk spaces and replacing them with comfortable chairs and a table that can easily be adapted for dining, working or relaxing.”

David Summers, managing director at ABDA Design, added: “When creating memorable designs, it’s so important that we consider the different types of guests that will be using the bedrooms.

“From someone who has an important work deadline to meet to a family wanting to rest-up and relax ahead of a leisure experience, it was key on this project that we created homely and welcoming environments that will enable guests to get the most from their stay with Hilton.”

Valor Hospitality plans to continue rolling out refurbishments across its portfolio going into 2024.
