Autumn 2017 will see the opening of the first overseas site from American plant-based, fast-casual restaurant By Chloe in London's Covent Garden.
The 70-cover flagship restaurant will offer grab and go options.
By Chloe has partnered with hospitality management and consultancy firm TGP International to bring the brand to the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. An additional two sites are in the pipeline for London, and other partners for expansion across all regions are being explored.
By Chloe opened its flagship US store in 2015 in New York city and now has seven sites in the US, as well as a stand-alone bakery, Sweets by Chloe, in New York.
The restaurant will offer seasonal salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and dairy-free ice cream, all made in-house daily. Popular dishes include the ‘Guac burger', quinoa taco salad, matcha kelp noodles and mac'n'cheese. The London restaurant will also debut a range of dishes exclusive to the UK audience.
Samantha Wasser, co-founder and president of By Chloe said: "I am extremely excited to bring By Chloe to London as our first step in growing our international presence. Covent Garden's restaurants and bustling fashion and art districts make it the perfect destination for our London flagship."
Simon Wright, managing director of TGP, added: "Plant-based and healthy eating are the buzzwords in the food world at the moment and By Chloe encompasses this ethos so well. With the brand being so established in New York, we saw London as the perfect market for their expansion and what better place than Covent Garden to launch - we're looking forward to introducing this innovative brand to the London audience."
By Chloe is an operating partner of US-based ESquared Hospitality group, which started in 2004 and has since grown to more than 30 restaurants worldwide.
