Chef Tom Kitchin and the management team behind the Kitchin Group of restaurants are to open a new venue in Edinburgh in 2018.
The as-yet-unnamed restaurant will be at 14-17 Bruntsfield Place and will occupy two storeys in a space that is being completely redeveloped and refurbished.
The Kitchin Group promises a new concept, which will draw on its culinary flair and strong supplier relationships and will provide opportunities for promotion from within its team.
It will be the fourth restaurant in a group that also includes the Michelin-starred Kitchin in Leith, Castle Terrace in Edinburgh city centre, and the Scran and Scallie in Stockbridge.
Tom Kitchin (pictured with Michaela Kitchin) said: "We've been searching for a venue in the Southside of the city for a long time now and are pleased to have found the ideal location on Bruntsfield Place. We aim to create a space with a genuine neighbourhood feel that locals will want to visit, time and again.
"Like our other restaurants, the new venue will be a different concept which we're really excited about. We're pleased to be creating new opportunities and challenges for our immensely talented and growing team of staff. From day one, we've set out to really push the boundaries and continue to challenge ourselves, our team and our cooking, and the new restaurant will signal another exciting chapter in our journey."
The venue is set for a launch in summer 2018 and more details will be released soon.
