Tom Kitchin’s Southside Scran closed by severe water damage

Chef Tom Kitchin’s Southside Scran restaurant in Edinburgh has had to close temporarily due to severe water damage.

Posting on Twitter, the traditional French bistro-style restaurant at Bruntsfield Place said it was “regrettably closed until further notice” due to flooding from residential flats above.

The restaurant opened in 2018 and was Kitchin’s fourth restaurant. Tom and Michaela Kitchin also operate the Michelin-starred Kitchin in Leith, Castle Terrace in Edinburgh city centre, the Scran and Scallie in Stockbridge, and the Bonnie Badger in Gullane.
