Tom Aikens has partnered with Thomas Franks to consult on the food offer at the caterer's new London B&I division and offer stages to its chefs.
Last year Thomas Franks launched a dedicated London business headed by Paul Hurren to service corporate contracts in the capital. Its offer will now be bolstered by the signing of the Michelin-starred chef.
Hurren, who is managing director of Thomas Franks London, said: "For many years I have admired and enjoyed Tom’s trailblazing culinary excellence, we could not have found a better partner to work with."
Aikens will work alongside Thomas Franks chef director Candice Webber to develop menus for B&I clients in the capital who include Barings and Gymshark. Chefs from the business will also have the opportunity to undertake work experience at the Michelin-starred Muse restaurant in London.
Aikens said: "I am delighted to be partnering with Thomas Franks, a company that shares the same values in terms of using ethically sourced produce and having respect for freshly sourced and seasonal ingredients to create authentic, delicious food. I look forward to developing further the existing locally sourced and sustainable menu already in place at Thomas Franks and to help them continue to elevate the proposition as a whole."
