Three men have been arrested following an incident at a restaurant in London’s Battersea Power Station.

A group of four people entered South African restaurant Tasha’s on Monday night and confronted a table of guests, the restaurant said.

On Instagram earlier today (4 February), Tasha’s released a statement describing it as a “minor incident”.

It said there were no weapons used, "except a pocketknife, contrary to what has been reported in the media”.

Tasha’s post added: “Our team responded swiftly and decisively, immediately alerting the police who later apprehended the suspects by identifying their car registration from the CCTV footage.”

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of a fight between four individuals at a venue in Battersea Power Station at around 8.30pm on Monday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "After the suspects fled the scene by car, officers were able to stop the vehicle a short distance away.

"There were no reported injuries.

"Two men aged 27 and one man aged 28 were arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and affray. They remain in custody.

"Enquiries continue."

According to the Prevention of Crime Act 1953 and the Criminal Justice Act 1988 carrying an offensive weapon in a public place without lawful authority is illegal. In addition, folding pocketknives with a blade length exceeding 7.62cm (three inches) in length are illegal.

The length of the pocketknife is not known.
