The second set of three restaurants to make the shortlist for The Caterer‘s Menu of the Year Catey award 2018, sponsored by Teflon, have been revealed.
108 Garage in London, 64 Degrees in Brighton, and the Cross in Kenilworth, Warwickshire were all successful in making the cut after appearing in The Caterer‘s Menuwatch feature between August 2017 and October 2017.

They join Anglo in London, Aster in London, and the Latymer restaurant in the Pennyhill Park hotel in Surrey, in contention for the award, the winner of which will be revealed at the Catey Awards on 3 July 2018.
Restaurants are selected quarterly from all the menus featured on the Menuwatch pages of the Chef section over the previous three months. The full shortlist of 12 menus will be judged in May 2018.
The menus are judged on innovation within the price bracket of that particular establishment or contract; good use of seasonal produce on the menu; creativity of the dishes being served; careful marrying of textures and flavours of the component ingredients; value for money; and, seeing the menu or selection of dishes, whether the judges would be tempted to eat there.
Last year, Jun Tanaka's the Ninth in London won the award. His restaurant beat competition from Norn in Edinburgh, Smokestak in London, and Wine & Brine in Moira, County Down.
Next year will be the 35th year of the Catey Awards. To explore sponsorship opportunities, contact Rob Adam at rob.adam@thecaterer.com.
