The Vurger Co is to open it’s first restaurant outside London and the south east in Manchester’s northern quarter later this month.
The plant-based fast-food restaurant will launch a 50-cover site as part of the Transmission House development on 23 April; joining existing sites in London's Canary Wharf, Shoreditch and Brighton.
The menu will include vegan milk shakes and mac ‘n cheese as well as a range of plant-based burgers.
Co-founder Rachel Hugh said: “This is a really exciting time for us at The Vurger Co. We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves in London and Brighton and can’t wait to be part of the thriving restaurant & food scene in Manchester, one of our favourite cities.
“Customers can expect amazing plant-based food, packed with texture & flavour that’s fun & delicious.”
In February 2020 the Vurger Co secured investment to the tune of £1.4m to support its expansion. The funds came from a group of investors led by Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni and Miray Zaki of Dismatrix Group, a multinational private equity, private credit, and venture capital firm.
