The Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Stockcross, Berkshire, and Yorebridge House in Bainbridge, North Yorkshire, have become the latest properties to join the Pride of Britain sales and marketing consortium of luxury, independently owned hotels.
The addition of the two hotels will take the membership of Pride of Britain to 48, close to the consortium's capacity of 50.
The five-red-AA-star, 49-bedroom Vineyard Hotel and Spa (pictured above) features a three-AA-rosette restaurant led by executive chef Robby Jenks and a 30,000-bottle wine cellar. The hotel, which is owned by the Michael family, who also own the Peter Michael Winery in California, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Andrew McKenzie, managing director of the Vineyard Group, said: "We are delighted and very proud to have been chosen to become part of Pride of Britain Hotels. We are joining a family of like-minded individuals, many of whom I have known for years, who all share a common aim: to ensure our guests enjoy the best hospitality that Britain has to offer."
Located in the heart of the North Yorkshire Dales, the 12-bedroom Yorebridge House holds a five-star restaurant with rooms rating from the AA. The Victorian Grade II-listed property, once a headmaster's house and grammar school, is owned by Charlotte and David Reilly.
It features a three-AA-restaurant with menus from head chef Dan Shotton.
David Reilly said: "We are very much looking forward to being part of the Pride of Britain family. It will be wonderful to not only enjoy the company of Pride of Britain guests, but also to meet and share experiences with other members from all the wonderful and inspiring establishments from across the country."
Other Pride of Britain member hotels include the Goring hotel in London; Gravetye Manor in West Hoathly, West Sussex; and Northcote in Langho, Lancashire.
Among the hotels to recently leave the consortium are Luton Hoo in Luton, Bedfordshire; Tylney Hall near Hook in Hampshire; and Ashdown Park, near Forest Row in East Sussex.
