Covent Garden's The Oystermen will relaunch on 22 October after extending the site which now incorporates 31 and 32 Henrietta Street.
The site is housed the first permanent location for co-founders Matt Lovell and Rob Hampton's seafood bar and kitchen. While the dining room in number 32 will remain with an enlarged open kitchen, 31 will be turned into an all-day oyster and raw bar with walk-in seating and additional space for diners.
The site is currently closed for the refurbishment, which is being led by Pea Green Studio's Dominique Walsh. Walsh and Hampton met when he prepared the wedding meal for her wedding to now-husband Will. The bar itself is being designed by master boat-builder Giles Thaxton of Made By Giles, a longstanding family friend of Lovell.
Hampton said: "The past 12 months have been an absolutely fantastic journey! The feedback from customers and the reviews we've received have made it a real privilege, and it's amazing to have the opportunity to expand our existing site."
Lovell added: "It's been an absolute pleasure for The Oystermen to work with old friends on such a personal project - it's great to keep it all in house.
"We're now getting stuck into the refurbishments and we can't wait for everyone to join us when our Seafood Bar & Kitchen reopens on Monday 22 October!"
