Shiva Hotels is set to open the Guardsman in spring next year; a purpose-built luxury boutique hotel near St James's Park in London.
The 53-bedroom hotel, which will be owned and operated by Shiva, is described as offering the "atmosphere, discretion and personal service usually associated with a private members' club". Guests will be able to choose their rooms or residences, preferred brand of drinks, menu items or bathroom products, all to be available upon their arrival.
The hotel is said to represent "a new direction in this market for the group". Shiva Hotels, established in 2001, operates five Hilton hotels in London and York, including the Lincoln Plaza London.
Spaces for dining and socialising are set over two levels, including an all-day restaurant open only to residents and their guests and which will serve seasonal produce. Architectural firm Dexter Moren Associates and multi-disciplinary design practice Tonik Associates are working on the project.
Rishi Sachdev, managing director of Shiva Hotels, said: "The Guardsman is designed for those who want the tailored, personal experience offered by a club, the flexibility and luxury of a hotel and the comfort and familiarity of a home. It will also have a conscience, wherever possible putting both its people and the environment at the centre of its decisions."
The property will also feature six exclusive residences on the top three floors for longer stays, comprising a selection of one, two and three bedrooms, living spaces, dining areas and fully fitted kitchens. The Penthouse has a wraparound terrace, while two other residences will feature a more expansive outdoor space with planting and seating.
