Tender opportunity: The National Gallery Sainsbury Wing and Supporters’ House catering provision
Overlooking Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery is one of the UK’s most visited museums and one of the top five most visited art galleries globally. It is a much-loved institution that, over its 200 years of history, has successfully evolved, leading the way for other art museums all over the world.
On 10 May 2024 the National Gallery celebrated its Bicentenary – 200 years of bringing people and paintings together.
Our 200th anniversary has provided an opportunity to celebrate the Gallery’s uniquely important collection and to undertake a series of transformative capital projects that includes three new hospitality spaces:
1. A public espresso bar.
2. A public bar & café/restaurant.
3. The Supporters’ House – a brand new space for premium-tier members and supporters of the Gallery.
To support the Gallery in its ambition to welcome up to 6 million visitors per year, it is now seeking an experienced hospitality operator and catering partner to deliver a high-quality F&B offer in these new spaces, and provide onsite event catering for meetings, conferences, lectures and more.
