American Tex-Mex chain Taco Bell is to make its Scotland debut on 7 December in Glasgow.
It announced the opening on its Facebook page: "Things are about to heat up in Glasgow!" it stated, and mentioned that the new restaurant will open on Sauchiehall Street in the city centre.
The fast-food chain currently has 18 sites in the UK in Thurrock, Basildon, Chelmsford, Manchester, Sheffield, Barnsley, Bradford, Nottingham, Cleethorpes, Colchester, Rotherham, Southampton, Rotherham, Poole, Chichester, Leeds and Woking.
Ellen Gault, marketing manager, Taco Bell UK and Europe, said: "Glasgow seemed like the perfect place to open our first store in Scotland and we have been blown away by the response from people across the country. We're busy working on more stores and in the meantime look forward to welcoming everyone in December."
Taco Bell serves a range of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos which are topped with beef, chicken, pork, cheeses, sauces and salads. It also has vegetarian options such as the seven layer burrito, bean burrito and fajita quesadilla.
At the beginning of the month, Taco Bell announced its partnership with Deliveroo which will deliver the range from 11 UK locations.
