Chef Stevie Parle is to close Dock Kitchen on Portobello Docks after eight years of trading on 23 December.
In the restaurant's latest newsletter, Parle said that the site's lease was coming to an end and that the business was planning to move out.
He added: "I've been holding off letting everyone know that we're closing because I wanted to announce a new location at the same time but I'm not in a position to do that just yet."
Dock Kitchen, or a version of it, is expected to open in a new location in the spring of next year.
All current staff will be positioned at Parle's other restaurants for the time being.
Parle continued: "We've had an amazing eight years here in Ladbroke Grove and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped to make it happen, from all of the brilliant staff to you, our amazing, loyal customers."
Dock Kitchen began as a one-week long pop-up, but after it received positive reviews and racked up so much interest that Parle decided to make it a permanent restaurant.
Parle owns five other restaurants in London including Rotorino in Dalston which opened in 2014; Craft in Greenwich which launched in 2015; Sardine in Islington, which launched last year; Palatino in Clerkenwell which opened in Janaury this year; and his latest opening Pastaio in Soho which has been running for two months.
