St Austell Brewery’s Masons Arms in Devon undergoing £2m refurbishment

St Austell Brewery’s the Masons Arms in Branscombe, Devon, is undergoing a “sensitive, yet transformational” £2m refurbishment.

The inn is due to reopen before Easter and the investment is expected to create 15 new jobs, with the business looking to hire front of house and back of house team members, chefs and housekeepers.

Dating from the 14th century, the property has 28 rooms and a converted cottage, with timber frames, low beamed ceilings, pine cladding and whitewashed walls all being restored.

As part of the refurbishment, each of the rooms, including the thatched cottage, will be redesigned, alongside shared spaces such as the dining rooms.
