Soho institution the Red Fort closes after 35-years

Soho institution the Red Fort has closed, with the lease for its Dean Street site being marketed.

A notice on the website of the Indian restaurant, which opened in 1983, says it is undergoing refurbishment, but property specialists Davis Coffer Lyons confirmed that a new operator is being sought for the site.

The Caterer understands that the lease had been breached.

The 4,145 sq ft site is marketed for offers in the region of £325,000 per annum.

The Caterer has made attempts to contact the proprietors of the Red Fort.
