Foodservice giant Sodexo has retained its contract to cater for City, University of London in Clerkenwell, expanding its remit to also cater for the institution's Cass Business School.
The contract with the Northampton Square campus of the university, which was originally signed in 2014 for £2m a year, has been extended for three years.
The new catering contract will include the university's offshoot, the Cass Business School, which has campuses on Bunhill Row and Aldersgate in London.
Over the course of the contract Sodexo has incrementally improved the food offering on campus, launching a new outlet in conjunction with health food concept Crussh as well as a coffee offering in partnership with Change Please, which provides support and jobs for London's homeless population. The offering will remain as part of the new contract.
The contract will also serve as an opportunity to introduce new offerings under the Sodexo name, including a relaunch of the site's main restaurant and its Planted! street food offer, featuring the plant-based meat alternative Oumph! Starbucks coffee will be available from the university's Courtyard Cafe.
