Signature Living has acquired a £3.3m ship with plans to launch it as an ‘Ibiza-style floating party hotel'.
The Liverpool-based hotel developer and hospitality operator has acquired the ship, which is receiving a fit-out in Portugal. The Signature Living Love Boat is expected to make its maiden voyage in August carrying 632 passengers, visiting Marbella, Ibiza and Majorca for week-long residencies and hosting DJs, artists and performers.
Bookings will go on sale later this month, with prices expected to start at £70 per person per night.
Group chairman Lawrence Kenwright said: "Our latest acquisition is without any doubt our most flamboyant… I am really excited for what the future holds for Signature Living as we continue to grow and develop as a company with exciting new hotel projects in Belfast and Liverpool."
Signature Living has five operational hotels in Liverpool including the Shankly hotel, Signature Living hotel, Arthouse and 30 James Street, as well as the Exchange hotel in Cardiff.
The company also has nine further hotels currently in development which includes Loyola Hall in St Helens, the football-themed Dixie Dean in Liverpool, a second Shankly hotel in Preston and the George Best hotel in Belfast.
The company was launched 10 years ago when Lawrence and Katie Kenwright purchased apartments in Liverpool to offer accommodation for hen and stag parties.
