American burger brand Shake Shack will land at UK airports after a new partnership was formed between TRG Concessions and Diverse Dining.
The first Shake Shack within the new joint venture opened today at Gatwick Airport’s North terminal. It will operate seven days a week, from 4am until the last flight departs.
UK brand operator Diverse Dining currently operates 10 Shake Shacks in the UK, while TRG Concessions, a division of the Restaurant Group, operates a number of casual dining brands in UK airports.
Nick Ayerst, managing director of TRG Concessions, said: “We are very excited to be working with a brand like Shake Shack and are looking forward to collaboratively opening our first shack at Gatwick Airport.”
Michael Kark, Shake Shack’s chief global licensing officer, added: “We are incredibly proud to be a part of the UK’s thriving food scene and are continually humbled by the support of our UK fanbase.
“We look forward to expanding upon that connection in UK airports, whether we’re welcoming you home or fuelling you up for your trip.”
