Seven Park Place in London and the Woodspeen, Newbury are among the eight Michelin deletions following the launch of this year’s Great Britain and Ireland Guide 2023.
Six of the eight restaurants to lose their stars have closed their doors in the last year. No two- or three-star restaurants lost stars at this year’s awards.

Several restaurants including HRiSHi in Bowness-on-Windermere, Restaurant Coworth Park in Ascot and Peel’s in Hampton in Arden retained their stars under a different name after being rebranded over the last year to Source, Woven by Adam Smith and Grace & Savour respectively.
Tony Parkin at the Tudor Room in Egham, rebranded to the Tudor Pass when chef Alex Payne took over the kitchen in September 2022 – it was one of the 20 restaurants to win a Michelin star at this year’s awards, which celebrated at a ceremony at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, which is the first in-person event held by the guide in the UK in three years.
