Scott Duncan has left his role as sales director at Carpigiani UK to replace Gary Nunn as managing director of Unox UK from May.
Duncan brings nearly 20 years of foodservice equipment industry experience. He was instrumental in the growth of ice-cream supplier Carpigiani, which more than doubled the value of its UK business between 2014 and 2020.
Nunn, former owner and managing director of oven supplier Unox, will retire from his full-time role after successfully steering the UK business through a management buyout last year.
Duncan said: “I’ve been very impressed by the approach that Unox is taking to the foodservice equipment sector, placing technology, connectivity and innovation at the heart of everything they do. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity for me.
“One of the biggest strengths of Unox is the fact that it manufactures 97% of its oven components in-house and the rest are sourced within 30km of the factory in Padova, Italy. This allows Unox to control the costs, quality and reliability of its products, which undoubtedly benefits their many customers around the world."
