Devon Amber is the first brew to come from a new 20-barrel brewery purpose-built for the Salcombe Brewery Company by its new owners, more than tripling the current brewing capacity.
Since the purchase of the business by a consortium led by insurance specialist John Tiner and his wife Geraldine, Salcombe Brewery has enjoyed substantial growth and now offers five ales year round.
The company recruited Gavin Hogg six months ago from his role as operations manager of Moles Brewery, with previous experience as head of sales at Bath Ales. Following the opening of the new brewery, the company is now looking to further expand its distribution and range of stockists.
Hogg said: "Since my arrival six months we have been at full capacity with every brew selling out from local demand alone. We are delighted to have the new brewery on stream which gives us 300% more capacity and we look forward to seeing our beers reach an even wider audience."
