The planned sale of the Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course in Kelso on the Scottish Borders by the Duke of Roxburghe's Roxburghe Estates to Bespoke Hotels has fallen through.
It had previously been announced that the sale of the 22-bedroom, four-AA-star country house hotel, for an undisclosed sum, would completed by the end of July. Bespoke had said that it was looking to expand the facilities and develop self-catering lodges at the property.
The hotel had signed a 15-year management contract with Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) and Albert Roux three years ago, and at the time the sale was reported it was confirmed ICMI's management of the property would cease under the new management.
It is not clear whether the hotel is back on the market or whether ICMI will be continuing as managers.
