Rooney Anand has joined the board of casual dining chicken brand Chiktopia following a personal investment.
Anand, who is chairman of Casual Dining Group, has joined the business as a non-executive director.
Chiktopia opened its first 120-cover restaurant in Intu Lakeside in Thurrock, Essex, earlier this year serving fried and grilled chicken burgers and tenders, skinny fries, salads and wraps as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
The business is led by Alastair Gordon, formerly of Ole & Steen, and advised by a group of senior industry figures including Dan Einzig, founder of Mystery Design, Mark Lilley, chief executive of Abokado and Richard Morris, managing director of Tortilla.
