Hospitality group Rhubarb has appointed former Galvin Restaurants group executive chef Warren Geraghty as culinary director.
Tasked with leading the group's chef brigades, menu development, recruitment and training, Geraghty will oversee the launch of VIVI restaurant this summer in London's Centre Point tower.
He will also be responsible for Rhubarb's first international opening, a collaboration with former Duck & Waffle chef Dan Doherty at Hudson Yards, New York. The Manhattan restaurant and bar is expected to launch in March 2019.
Rhubarb managing director PB Jacobse welcomed Geraghty to the business and said: "With Rhubarb continuing to grow and our first international opening underway, Warren's impressive career achievements and hospitality experience made him the obvious choice for the role."
Geraghty, who joins the business with more than 20 years' catering experience, added: "This is a fantastic role and I am delighted to be joining at such an incredibly exciting time for Rhubarb. There is some real talent within the kitchen team at Rhubarb and I look forward to nurturing and developing this further."
In his role as group executive chef at Galvin Restaurants and director of Galvin Pub Co, Geraghty was responsible for more than 100 chefs across the group as well as menu planning, quality control, staffing and F&B revenue.
Previous experience included chef positions at L'Escargot, the Four Seasons hotel and resort Hampshire, Pied A Terre and Chez Nico, as well as authoring West: The Cookbook.
Geraghty also spent time in France and then Canada where he appeared in several North American TV shows and was a judge on the series five final of Hell's Kitchen USA.
