An Italian restaurant that was at the centre of a row over "spiked" vegan food last year appears to have closed.
The closure of Carlini restaurant in Shropshire was reported by the Express and Star, who said to let signs had been put up at the site.
Last January former chef and co-owner, Laura Goodman, resigned after making comments on Facebook that suggested a vegan customer had been "spiked".
Goodman's co-owner had later clarified that no animal products had been added to meals, adding that the comments had been made after a customer who had requested a vegan menu went on to order a dish containing cheese.
But, the comments led to a media storm that saw the restaurant's social media and TripAdvisor channels flooded with negative reviews.
Following Goodman's resignation the restaurant continued to trade and announced plans to rebrand both Carlini and its sister restaurant in Albrighton.
The restaurant's website has been deleted and The Caterer's multiple phone calls were unanswered.
