Restaurant Associates has won the contract to provide the catering for the new Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Belfast.
The company, which is an offshoot of Compass Group UK&I, will provide the hospitality at the Lobby Café and Studio Cafe and deliver conferences, incentive and special events at the Linen Mill Studios, one of the studio spaces where Game of Thrones was filmed.
The Studio Tour showcases original show sets, costumes, weapons and props from the eight seasons of the HBO television series, alongside running interactive experiences.
Located at the entrance to Linen Mill Studios, the Lobby Café offers hot drinks, handmade cakes and light eats; while the Studio Café at the centre of the tour serves everything from a full Northern Irish breakfast to ale batter fish and chips and grilled mushroom and roasted onion burger with beetroot relish.
Matt Thomas, managing director of Restaurant Associates, said the focus was on providing a sustainable catering option for the visitor experience. “We’re putting in the work towards our long-term and ongoing goals of reducing our carbon footprint, minimising food waste, curtailing the impact that our supply chain has on the environment and being transparent about where our ingredients come from.
“By using the best-quality, seasonal ingredients sourced responsibly from local suppliers, we are creating a better experience for our guests, the community, and the environment”.
