RedCat Pub Company has purchased the Grade-II listed, 13-bedroom Manor House hotel in Dorset off a guide price of £1.7m.
It is the latest in a string of acquisitions for RedCat, which was established by former Greene King chief executive Rooney Anand, including the 18-strong Coaching Inns Group.
The 16th century Manor House hotel, which also incorporates a restaurant and cellar bar, had been owned by David and Alison Allen since 2010.
The couple placed the West Bexington property on the market ahead of their retirement. David said: “We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Manor Hotel in this wonderful location overlooking Lyme Bay.
“We would like to thank our dedicated staff, customers and suppliers for their support, and wish RedCat Inns every success in the future.”
RedCat is backed by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. It launched in February and in recent months has acquired 42 pubs across England and Wales from Stonegate Pub Company and some single sites, including the New Dungeon Ghyll pub hotel in the Lake District.
Colliers acted for the vendors and Bradley Hall for the purchasers.
