London hotels achieved the highest average daily rate (ADR) level for any April on record, according to new figures from data company STR.
ADR grew by 1.4% to £143.01, while revenue per available per room was virtually flat, down by 0.1% to £115.99.
A 2.3% increase in supply and, to a lesser extent, a shift in Easter from early April last year, resulted in a 1.6% fall in occupancy to 81.1%. Demand for rooms during the month increased by 0.7%.
STR will release its full results for April later this month.
