Ray Goertz to step down as general manager of the Prince Akatoki London

Ray Goertz will step down as general manager of the Prince Akatoki London hotel at the end of November.

Goertz joined the hotel in 2017 and oversaw its 2019 transformation from the Arch London into the Prince Akatoki London.

The hotel underwent a complete refurbishment, rebranding and repositioning as part of the change.

Goertz said: “I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at the Prince Akatoki London since rebranding. The journey from the Arch London to the Prince Akatoki London has been nothing short of remarkable. The dedication of our team, the support of our loyal guests, and the success of our rebranding efforts have all made this an unforgettable chapter of my career.”

Japanese group StayWell Holdings and its parent company Prince Hotels acquired the Arch London in 2018 for an undisclosed sum.

It undertook a £3m transformation across its public areas and all 82 bedrooms before relaunching.

The hotel has yet to announce a replacement for Goertz.
