Rachael Henley has been appointed general manager of the Fife Arms in Braemar, Aberdeenshire.
Henley initially joined 46-bedroom hotel, part of hospitality company Artfarm, as hotel manager in 2020.
Before joining the business the Acorn Award winner had held F&B manager roles at Grantley Hall in Yorkshire and the Idle Rocks in Cornwall.
A spokesperson for Artfarm said: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Rachael Henley as general manager of the Fife Arms. Having held the role of hotel manager since December 2020, Rachael has been integral in delivering the exceptional guest experience at the Fife and as such, was the obvious choice to lead the team and the business forward.”
Artfarm was founded in 2014 by Iwan and Manuela Wirth, who relaunched the property in 2019 with an impressive art collection, including works by Pablo Picasso and Lucian Freud. The pair also own the Roth Bar & Grill, Durslade Farmhouse and the Bull Inn at Hardway, as well as their gallery Hauser & Wirth in Bruton, Somerset, and Manuela restaurant, which is situated within their Los Angeles gallery.
Last year Artfarm, headed by CEO Ewan Venters, launched Mount St Restaurant and the Audley Public House in Mayfair, London as well as acquiring the Groucho Club.
