This year's Institute of Hospitality Student Learning & Development Forum will host a raft of hospitality leaders.
Principal Hotel Company director of people development Sean Wheeler, head of human resources at the newly-opened Curtain hotel Josh Light and L'Oscar executive chef Tony Fleming have been confirmed speakers at the event, the theme of which is ‘the future is now'.
Owner of the Georgian House hotel Serena von der Heyde will be speaking on women in hospitality, and Jessica Berry, talent manager at the Doyle Collection, will present on how to make a good impression. Alastair Storey, president of the Institute of Hospitality, and Ciarán Fahy, chief executive of the Ellerman Hotel Company which owns the Ritz London, will also be speaking at the event.
Now in its 12th year, the Forum is organised by the Institute's London branch and will take place on 15 November at the capital's Bloomsbury hotel.
The forum will focus on student employability and offer career advice and guidance. It will host 200 students from universities and colleges across the country.
Michael Voigt, general manager of the L'Oscar hotel, due to open in Holborn, London next year, is organising the event in his role as education officer at the Institute of Hospitality.
