Plans have been submitted to Cardiff Council for the development of a courtyard in a former nightclub space behind the city’s High Street Arcade.
Owner and developer Mansford Capital and architect firm Rio have submitted proposals to turn the 3,400 sq ft, two-storey site into an open courtyard inspired by London’s Kingly Court off Carnaby, Eccleston Yards in Victoria, and Budapest’s famous Ruin bars. The new courtyard would also create space for food and drink operators.
Knight Frank manages the arcade and will also manage the new development, which will have an art wall and direct access through an existing walkway off High Street Arcade.
