The Pig at Harlyn Bay, the newest addition to the Home Grown Hotels litter, is on course for an opening date of 31 July despite Covid-19 construction delays.
Construction was in the final stages when lockdown began, but work has now restarted on the 30-bedroom, Grade II-listed hotel in Cornwall, which will be Home Grown Hotels' seventh property.
The venue was due to open on 28 April, but this was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The group has also said that, government guidance permitting, all other Pig hotels will open on 4 July. The opening night across every hotel will be donated to NHS staff and carers, including the new Harlyn Bay hotel, with guests able to stay from Monday 6 July.
Covid-19 health and safety measures have been introduced across the properties, including full-time cleaners for public areas, health-screening for employees when they arrive on-site, and breakfast served at tables. Guests will be asked to pre-book their breakfast time, while lunch and dinner reservations will be staggered and menus available in advance.
Hand sanitiser will be available on every table, and spa treatment rooms will remain closed until further advice becomes available on safe reopening.
The Pig in the South Downs is still due to open in summer 2021.
